Workshop on “Human Ecology & Eco-Cycles” – Sustainable Urban Management of Waste & Energy for Persian speaking researchers in Scandinavia

Target group: All young researchers and students in Architecture, Town Planning and Environment, who are looking for new research adventures & interested in state of the art in applicable science toward SDGs in human ecosystems, residential areas including urban and rural areas, cities, and metropolitans etc.

An arrangement done by following collaborators under management of Ekocentrum in Gothenburg.

Mikaela Rosander Ekocentrum

Mikaela Rosander, CEO at Ekocentrum. Mikaela has a diploma in Argiculture and has worked at SIDA with international assignments on protection of rainforest deforrestation, regional sustainable development at Västra Götalandsregionen etc. She has experiences from both municipal and privat businesses. She is a appreciated lecturer with passion for environmental and sustainable  development issues. She has inspired many of Ekocentrums course participants to become more sustainable at work and in their privat lives, always with a very personal way of communicate by adding her own personal experiences from her international work.

Ola Carlson was born in Onsala, Sweden 1955. He received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden in 1980 and 1988, respectively. He is currently a Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology. His major interests are electrical systems for renewable power production and hybrid electric vehicles. Since 2010, Ola is the Director of Swedish Wind Power Technology Centre. Dr. Manochehr Riahi, International Coordinator YREP. Manochehr Riahi, is Retired from Gothenburg University – Sweden, 2011 and now he is Head of Human Ecology Department of MERC (Modares Environment Research Center) and International Coordinator YREP (Young Researchers Empowerment Program). Manochehr has been graduated in PhD in Architecture, Florence – Italy, 1970 and has lots of international experience as sustainability and human ecology project manager and coordinator. He have academic experiences as lecturer, instructors and assistant professor at universities in Iran, Italy, Denmark, Sweden and Turkey.

Applier qualifications:

Researchers are chosen between students and professional experts, who have completed or are engaged with following academic research fields; Architecture, Urban Management, Town Planning, Environment, Human Ecology and other related fields.

 Other information:

Each applier will pay the fee 6.000: – SEK excluding VAT

The fee covers:

* Accommodation* for 3 days and 2 nights,

* City Transportation during 3 days in Gothenburg,

* Lunches all 3 days of Workshop,

* Course Materials,

* Entrance Fees of Scientific Excursions,

* Course Registration Fee,

* International Environment Diploma (Ekocentrum)

* International MERC Certification of “Human Ecology Assessment Skill” (issued by Tarbiat Modares University).

Applicants will be settled in 3 bed suits with bathroom and kitchen.

All accepted participants will get:

* A 3-day ticket for public transportation,

*A 3-day bonus for lunches in Iranian Restaurant,

* A brochure of information needed during the 3 days,

* And instructions how to reach Workshop Halls called YES BOX

* And all information about the accommodation site.

We accept only 15 appliers. If there will be more interested researcher to apply, only 2 more groups of 3 persons (max 6 persons) will be accepted one week before Workshop’s date.
